Another Hong Kong trip

Traveled 1560 miles to Hong Kong for only one purpose, which was to renew my Visa.

Went to the Immigration tower and saw a god-damn long queue (like literally zig-zags). Thank god, the visa renewal line wasn't that long after all. I got my things done in less than 10 mins! I like the efficiency of it.

What to do for the remaining days?? Shopping of course! It's the Summer Sales in Hong Kong now. Endless of sales attractions and sales girls trying to persuade you to buy. I shopped till I dropped (from 10am till 10pm). Traveled from TST to Mong Kok. Then from Mong Kok to TST again.

Steamed milk/egg in coconut. Nice one but it cost a bomb!

Summer Part 1

Sorry for the lack of updates.

This post was due weeks ago.

It's been weeks since I got back from HK. Time passes so fast. It feels like I just got back yesterday. Anyways, my summer has been miserable. I wasted few weeks of my holiday doing nothing but sleeping, eating, tv and computer. Went out once or twice with friends. Shopping too! The great/mega sales is now, how can you not take this opportunity to shop for cheap stuff!!

Next was my Singapore trip. Unplanned and unexpected trip, but it turned out to be okay.
I'm proud to say that I travelled to Singapore alone by bus! Never traveled alone by bus before. But it was a little tiring because I had to sit for 5 hrs and not moving about.

Yay. today is sort of the official last day of year 1 university life :)

Later at 4pm, i have a lab exam = no class.
tomorrow's class is canceled = no class
friday is tutorial = no lecture

So yippie. Year 2 is coming!

Good news, I'll be going home in a month time!! so happy. Can't wait for that day to come : )

What happened in early April was quite fun. First was Poh's Birthday celebration. Second, temple stay. Third, High table dinner.

Hiking

First hiking trip to The Peak. Though it was tiring for me but I must say that it was awesome.
Left hall at 9 and started hiking up from the hill behind the uni. Panting, stopped, walked, panting, stopped, walked....till we reached the top. Ooosh, so proud of myself. Managed to complete the 2.5km walk.

Went to Marks & Spencer food store today. Found this adorable thing and guess what it is?

Yes, a chocolate cow! They are having the Easter Sales now. It is edible. There were more of these chocolates. They have duck, flower etc etc etc. Owh, they even have the colourful easter eggs. Really adorable.

Anyway, i miss eating this. Chocolate fondue! What a sinful indulgence but it's so delicious.

Another week

A week of Chinese New Year Holiday just ended with a blink of eye. Didn't feel like a week at all. It felt like a day. Wished I could have a longer holiday.

Things i did:
Chinese New Year Eve: Touched down KL and headed straight home for reunion dinner! Wohoooooo. Miss my mommy's cooking.

First day of chinese new year: Stayed at home and did nothing.

Real fun was on the 4th day of chinese new year. Nasi Lemak from Village Park. OMG. I have mentioned this for so many thousands times but i want to say it again, it's the best in kl!!! The irrestistable ayam goreng.

6 hrs before my flight, Sarawak Laksa! Another good one from Bangsar! Those who are still in KL, must go and have a try of it!!!!

Basically, I've been eating eating quite a lot during my CNY break. Not sure how much weight i've gained this time. :(

It's the forth day since I came back, i start to miss.....
home, bed, dogs, food, friends, food, and food and food.

A new year, a new beginning.
For the past two weeks, i really enjoyed my holiday in malaysia. Why can't HKU give us a month holiday! 3 weeks is seriously not enough. I still have lots to do.

What i've done in malaysia?hmmm.... clean the house, outing with friends, shopping, eat, sleep, read. Basically, non stop eating.

First night after i touched down kl, Umai-ya.

Next morning, nasi lemak@Village Park. OMG, best nasi lemak la. Thanks to KR and Kim for bringing me there for lunch.

Nasi lemak ayam goreng(One nasi lemak was not enough, thx to kc, i get to eat nasi lemak again before i left)

I have no idea how much i've ate. The month january will be a diet month for me. I must exercise more, eat less, eat healthy.

The year 2009 had been quite an eventful year for me. Looking back at it, i went through a lot.

Last year during this time, i was worried that I couldn't make it into a good university to further my studies. However I made it!! I completed my A-levels and moved on to University. For the first time, i left home and went to Hong Kong to study.

However, i do still miss the ol' college time. Miss all my friends that are in UK now ( Chrystal, Chee Fai, Mun You etc etc etc.). Miss all the crazy things we did. The one i remembered the most is where we only had 2 hrs break in between classes and we rushed to MV because Nigel wanted to buy a Topshop hoodie.
And many many more. Can't really think of any now.

What happened in Hong Kong for the past 4 months:

I made new friends.

Room 2308 is the best + coolest roommates(08A and 08C).

I learned how to speak Cantonese.

I learned to be independent.

I learned to take the public transports.

I'm used to walking fast.

Internet connection there is awesome.

Tried to stay up really late just to go for early morning dim sum.

2010 resolutions

1. Study harder and put more effort on my studies
2. Gym and swim more regular. I want to be 40 kg again. Eat less.
3. Smile more
4. Be positive all the time
5. Spend less or, better ,dont spend on shopping at all.
6. No procrastination
7. Hope to get a part-time job
8. Never ever attempt to skip my morning lecturers anymore.
9. Sleep early. Before 1am i hope.

Crazy things you don't get to do when you are in KL

1. Having dim sum at 3am in the morning.

2. Study till 4am and still not feeling tired.

3. Staying up till 6am and say you are hungry and you want to go for breakfast with your room mate :)

4. Never ending desserts to taste.

5. Eat >5 meals a day. (Breakfast, tea[not for me], lunch, snack, dinner, supper, morning tea!!!!) ~ No wonder i get so fat now.

That's all i can think about it for now.

2 more to go and i'll be back to Malaysia. :)

It's been 5 weeks since i last updated, which, is really long time ago.
Had been busy with stuff. Stuff which includes truckload of assignments, midterms, studies, and the Starr Festival.

Alright, a quick update here since some of you complained that my blog is dead.

Last week was reading week. Reading week = no class + self-study + play + sleep + relax. Only a week and time passes very fast. My study mood is not turned on yet! Just too fast.

There's nothing much to blog about reading week. ~~It's all about locking myself in the room and study. Like really hard core studying.~~ . Nah, in fact, 7 days of the reading week, half of the time was studying. The other half includes sleeping, eating, playing, outing.

Last Sunday, my floor mates brought me to Ocean Park in conjunction of Halloween!! It was fun and totally worth my money. 8 haunted houses, we visited 5. Quite an achievement though. The fun part was that, i wasn't afraid at all. The ghosts and zombies were trying to scare me off but i wasn't afraid. :)

Next on was karaoke session with my floor mates. It was really fun to see how all my floor mates could sing so well!.

Followed by movie time with my cousin at Cyberport. Both of use were dying to watch a movie. Any movie in fact. Haha. The movies shown in Cyberport are limited. In the end, we watched The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. And godddddddd, it was so hilarious. And and and, there's this guy in the movie, Eric Winter, so cute. haha.

Life in Hong Kong

It's been a month since i arrived and i haven't had the time to update the blog cause i've been caught up with truck loads of assignments. So here are the updates for the September month

Week 1

Quite an exciting because it was the first week of our arrival. We had been exploring around Hong Kong. We went Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay in 2/3 days.

During week 1, we had the Inauguration Ceremony and Orientation Day for International Students.

If i'm not mistaken, the seniors brought us out on the week 1 Sunday. This time, Mong Kok for eating and shopping. Walked from morning till night.

Week 2

Assignments started pouring in. It was also the second week of Unit Orientation. Everyday, we had different activities. The ones I remembered are freshmen snack night, mini drama night.
Freshmen snack night is a night whereby the freshmen have to cook supper for the the unit.

At the end of week 2, my cousin and the brother-in-law brought nigel and i to Lan Kwai Fong for supper! Finally, i got to experience the Hong Kong night life!

Second Malaysian Potluck Gathering. This time, we cooked sushi. It was a failure to me. It wasn't up to my usual standard. Blame it on the blunt knife! But anyway, we had fun. Good food and friends with us.

Week 3

End of Unit Orientation Week. During this week, we had activities too. Rush Unit, mass game, high table dinner.

Rush unit was quite fun but at the same time, agonising and harsh. Fun - i was tossed into the air to write some words.
Agonising - we had to use only our hands and legs to support ourselves on the wall. Not just once, but twice!!!!! It was seriously agonising. I nearly cried because of that.

After the end of everything, we had this activity called "reach the stars" whereby we have to
walk/run/jog from the ground floor to the 23rd floor. No joke k. I nearly fainted when I reached the top.

Next on, Unit High Table Dinner. Did not take much pictures, camera battery died.

End of week 3, I needed to get a book so nigel and i decided to shop for it at Causeway Bay. Our initial plan was to have breakfast, buy books, and return to hall. But................. We can't resist the temptation to shop. Sales are everywhere! It was really exciting to shop when the bill comes, i will feel the pain!

Nothing special happened this week except that I went to Hong Kong Disneyland with Nigel and Nat together with the seniors to celebrate Sook Voon's birthday.

hello from hong kong

It's been a week since I arrived. Had been very busy. From opening a bank account to course selection. Besides that, i've been exploring around hong kong! Quite fun but one thing that i don't like about it is WALKING!. Yes, in hong kong, you have to walk a lot. I walked till i have blisters on my feet .(More reasons for me to buy more comfortable shoes :) )As for the weather, it is really hot here! However, autumn is coming soon! Can't wait for it.

Shopping here is really awesome, esp Zara and MNG. As for the high-end brands, you name it, they've got it! But.....the price is extremely pretty!

Currently, i'm staying in a hall, 5-10mins walk to my main campus. My room mate is really a nice girl, first year hong konger. Also, I LOVE MY ROOM! Great sea-view and mountain-view.! It is facing the west. So when it comes to sunset, the view is really beautiful.
I was told that my room could get to view of the firework show from HK Disneyland. Unfortunately, i haven't had the chance to see it yet because it starts at 8pm EVERY NIGHT and i had been out very late this week! Hopefully i get to see it soon!

Verdict day

No, i'm not gonna announce my results here!

One thing i'm very worry about it now is my visa!!!!! Quite lazy to mention it here again. Only few know what is going on.

Anyway, after collecting our results and the hasty procedures to email and deliver my results to HKU, we headed to MV! Gosh, we were really hungry and tired.

Lunch was quite fun and lepak around Gardens after that (including camwhoring).

Here comes the interesting part..........(YT, u must read this!)

After dropping YT at the bus stop, ruizhe and i had been telling chrystal to follow the taxi. But still, she drove too fast and missed the turning. No choice but had to use the Duta Highway. All three of us were unfamiliar with the road had to follow the sign board's direction.

Finally, saw the word "damansara" but we thought it would lead to us to Penchala Link. So decided not to use that way! Went straight all the way until 3 minutes later, we missed that turning! Gosh, we were so lost on the highway.

Went passed kepong, then finally found the sign to Kota Damansara! Phew, what a relief and we found our way home!

When the bill came, there was a tiny paper on the of the bill. Opened it, it was a person's phone number! First thought that came to me, the waiter's number. (this kind waiter lent me his phone because my phone signal was really terrible!) Damn random. Out of curiosity, we called the number, however no one picked up. So, forget about it.
The next thing, Carmen saw this random indian/malay guy sitting outside took out his phone. So our guess was that guy. Hahaha

Will miss them really much. Hope to meet them again before i leave! :)

Anyway, results will be out in 2 days! 2!!!!! OMG. Well, i don't want to think about it. Just enjoy the days while i can!

So embarrassing. And we found it at last! Woohoo.

Malacca Trip

26th July

Didn't celebrate on this day. Went shopping instead. And ate a lot too. Basically ate from lunch till dinner non-stop.

27th July

The long-anticipated Malacca trip with my friends. I must say it was a great trip. Thanks to the organisers (Wendy, Pei Hau and Terk Chern) you guys are awesome.

Left HELP at 10am and headed down to Malacca. 20 of us in 5 cars. Supposed to be a bright and sunny day. But who knows it rained while driving! Not drizzling but heavy rain! Ruined the whole trip. 1 hr before we reached the destination, we lost Terk Chern on the high way! and it was raining so heavily! Thank god Kay Chong has a GPS with him. He led us safely to Malacca! We even reached there earlier than those in Terk Chern's car.

It rained all day in Malacca. Not fun at all! We couldn't walk around at Jonkers Street :( After checked-in and everything, headed for Chicken Riceballs lunch with Wendy at Jonker Street. It was still raining after our lunch. Then lepak lepak at Dataran Pahlawan.

We ate a lot during the trip!

After supper, back to hotel! Before that, went to buy some mineral water. At the hotel doorstep, Adrian opened the door and the room was dark and empty(according to him, the boys went down to shower!) The next second, the boys rushed out from the rooms, carrying a birthday cake! So sweet and nice of them!

note: No wonder Terk Chern was driving us(ying, chee chee and i) around Renaissance Hotel twice after our supper!

Next on, 20 of us queeing up for 2 toilets! It was crazy. Past midnight, alcohol time! We played the drinking game and it was hilarious. I drank a lil BUT I WASN'T DRUNK!!!! Mouse, Joshua and Jason got so drunk! Like really. They were talking nonsense.

Started the day with lunch at Jonker Street again. This time, nyoya delicacy for lunch. Wasn't that bad after all. Thank you Wendy for this!

530pm, say goodbye to Malacca.
Initially, we were speeding at 120km/h to 130km/h. 10 mins later, Terk Chern had to stop the car because we all heard some weird sound. All four cars stopped with us. Joshua didn't know about it continue speeding and went ahead of us. What we found out that the back tire had a problem. Stopped at the next rest stop again. Decided to slow down our speed, drove at 80km/h. Jin Khai and Kian Yong was escorting our car and Kay Chong went ahead of us. Me being the passenger, knowing nothing just slept through out the whole journey. At 7pm, the car stopped, i thought we arrived! But NO! Just another rest stop! Still had at least 45 min to get back to KL! No joke k. from 130km/h to 80km/h for 3 hrs ++.

Finally we had arrived! Ying and the rest were waiting for us. Being hungry and tired, we went searching for food. KFC for dinner.

That concludes everything. We didn't follow the plan in the itinerary. The rain ruined everything. Plus, we all woke up quite late the next day. So screwed the whole plan. In the end, this trip wasn't about exploring Malacca heritage site but it was an eating trip in Malacca.

Chrystal's Surprise Party

After 2 weeks of planning, finally the day has come! Told the birthday girl that i needed her company to do shopping with me. In fact. It was to surprise her!

This morning, we headed to Gardens. Took my own sweet time to shop. I purposely picked lots and lots of clothes to try on just to burn the time while waiting for everyone to arrive at Alexis:)

And.......I FOUND THE COLOURFUL BAG FROM NINE WEST that I've wanted to buy it for months but everywhere was out of stock. And i found it today! So excited to get it this weekend!

Boys Over Flowers

Yeah, I finished watching BOF in 2 days and half!! Yeah, i know, it's a total craziness. Sat in front of the laptop for the whole day to watch. Previous night, 3 hrs. First day, 10 hrs. Second day, 12 hrs. That's how to spend your time during the long holiday.(I was also sick and can't leave the house). And......I cried a lot too. Like really a lot. It's my first time getting sooooooooo and extremely emotional while watching a drama.

No doubt, it was a good show. For months (2 i think), Chrystal and Yee Theng had been begging me to watch it because it's a good show and there're cute guys in it. Two reasons why i didnt want to watch when they asked me too. i) I'm not a fan of KD ii) It was very close to exam, didn't want to get distractred by it.

It's a cinderella-like fairy-tale story. Heir to a family's international company fall in love with a poor girl. Conflict starts when the evil-witch mother tries to separate the lovely couple. However, love conquers everything! They still get to be with each other after 4yrs.

Saddest scene, hmmmm, i would say quite a lot. But the saddest of all would be when Jun Pyo couldn't remember Jan Di at all after a car accident.: ( Jan Di rather drown herself and die to bring back his memory. I cried so much for this scene.
Second saddest scene was when he decided to break-up with her though he didnt want to (evil-mom was behind all these)

Sweetest scene, haha, quite a lot too. Lazy to mention it here. Just go watch it yourselves.

And of course, the second reason to watch this show is because of........cute guys. Yeah. All are good looking and cute and have personalities too!!!!!!!! How can you not like them!

And so, yesterday was A-Levels Annual Ball 09 // prom, held at Sunway Resort and Spa. I must say it was awesome and I had a great time.

Yes. Fp3 done. A-Levels is OFFICIALLY over! No more sleepless nights, no more accounting, no more econs, no more stress days etc etc etc.

Lots of thing to do from tomorrow....

1) shopping
2) movie marathon (all the movies that i;ve missed)
3) finish all my story books (mind you, i;m not a nerd k, just happened that i bought them but i haven't got the time to read them : ) )
4) tv series, 90210, heroes, gossip girls, BOF(yes chrystal, i promised you to watch it and i will !)
5) find a part time job (maybe)
6) get my visa done
7) book the air tickets to hong kong
8) outing with friends
9) karaoke session with kr and ying and chrys and yt and friends and everyone
10) prepare for prom! :) :) :)

12)....
The list just goes on and on and on.......

As for today, right after fp3, we headed to OU. Main purpose was to buy chrystal and yt's prom stuff, but due to time factor, we didnt. After lunch, movie time!!!!! Yes.......... and it's TRANSFORMERS 2! hohohoho

Yeah, i like the movie! And nah, i;m not going to spoil the movie details here. Just go watch it yourself! Two thumbs up!

Owh, i forgot to mention. The cars in the movies are soooooooo sexy, esp the Audi. HAHA
AND AND AND AND AND JOSH DUHAMEL was so hot in the movie. :)

one day trip to melaka!

I was in the college library studying with my friends. I got a phone call from mom, below is the conversation:

mom: ling, are you free now? can you leave the college?
me: yeah, why
mom: let's go melaka now!
me: *starring blindly at my friends * friends were laughing at me at the same time
me: for what?
mom: go to the temple at melaka to pray.
mom: want to come or not?
me: er.....ok. now ar?
mom: yeah, i will come pick you up.

apprx 3 hrs later (2pm), we were at melaka. So it was already 2 something, of course everybody was hungry. So my aunt took us to this nyonya-like street(can;t remember what's the street's name) for laksa. Gosh.....the laksa was soooooooooooooooooooo good! It was totally different from the laksa we eat at KLWent shopping =.=' SO shocking. i was supposed to study in the library! Not walking on a street in melaka shopping!

After eating and shopping, it was already 4. The grandmother wanted to go home, she was already making noises in the jewelry shop. So off we went. On the way out of the town, my mom was asking my aunt that, weren't we supposed to go to the temple? That was the main purpose of me going to melaka. But...... too late, we were already on the way to the North South Highway back to kl.

That's my one day trip to Melaka. To be precise, lunch at melaka. : )

* Forgot to mention that i had 2 bowls of ice kacang too. Quite good.
Now i have to work hard at the gym!!!!!!

Time flies really fast. With a blink of eyes, college has ended already. It seems like yesterday was only the first day college. After our may/june exam, we wont be seeing each other anymore. All of us will be flying off to different countries to further our studies and i will miss you all definitely.

Throughout the 1 1/2 yrs, my college life had been filled with so many memories, happy, crazy, sad etc etc. I've also met so many great friends, friends who helped me when i needed them; friends who tried to make me happy when i'm sad; friends who taught me with my hw, friends who made me laugh all the time.

So, we were crazy taking pictures yesterday. *Snap snap snap. But, I regretted for nothing taking pictures with some very important people. Carmen and Khye-Ren (friends since form 1- carmen ; form 4 - kr). Came and joined HELP with me too!!. I didnt see you all on friday. : ( We will definitely have chance to meet each other some other day during our study break or after exams!!!!!

You have been such a great friend to me. You helped me so much with my hw; from teaching me those topics that i don't undertstand esp accounts to lending me your notes to photocopy it. haha. You also cheered me up whenever i'm sad. I will always remember how you always tell us about those Korean Dramas with those cute boys in it (first was wonbin, now is the guy from BOF). I still remembered how you always asked me to watch B.O.F. EVERYDAY but i didnt. Besides that, you and yeetheng helped me a lot with *ahem ahem. Haha. Thank you so much.

2. Lim Yee Theng
Another great friend of mine. I still remember how we first met in accounts class (well, not really, we first met at wms but i was only there for 3 months, so i couldn't remember u much). . I was sitting on the second row and then i moved up to sit with guys. That;s how we started to know each other well. Started talking crazy stuff with u all and i really enjoyed those moments (esp those related with John). How chrystal and i always joke around about you and john all the time. (pls forgive me for that)

3. Nigel Lim
My gym partner. We somehow only got closer after second semester. You always brought us out to eat, Mcd before thursday's stats class, Delicious after econs (ate till we were so full and broke) Haha. :D But it was totally worth it. Hope you are going HKU too so that we can still see each other!! HKU here we go!!! Nice food and you can be my shopping partner. Can shop 24/7. Haha.

This is going to be my last post for now due to EXAMS!!!!! I'll be back after 23rd june.

Have been extremely stressful latelt. Fp-ing almost everyday, plus the workload of stats (got to finish 6 sets of pyq + review exercise by monday!) How's that possible?? And econs, i'm a lil' lost in class now.
I've been forcing myself to stay up late to finish my hw. Depending on my ginseng tea everyday. Eye bags are getting bigger than ever, dark circles are slowly appearing under my eyes.........Grrrrrr

Let's see, updates for this week:
1) Everybody have been talking about prom. It's 2 months from now and everyone has started planning what to wear. Including me. Reason....exams.....i don't want to think anything about prom during my exam month. As for my prom preparation, I need a pair of gold/white heels with bling bling, whichever that suits my dress. But is not easy for me to find a pair of nice pretty one because i have such a small feet. Size 3 or 4. Is really frustrating every time i do shoe shopping.

2) Blue-blacks on my arms and my whole body is aching. Well, this is due to some embarrassing incident happened at the gym yesterday. I was at the changing room. I knew the floor was slippery because the cleaner just cleaned it. I took extra precaution. But.....accidents just happen. I slipped and fell flat on the floor. Two aunties and the cleaner witnessed the whole incident. It was so embarrassing!!!!!! Can u imagine falling flat on the floor, it was so painful.

3) Collected my blood test report yesterday. I have high cholesterol!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. I don't eat oily food at all. I don't eat meat at all. I only eat GREEN VEGETABLES. AND AND AND....I only prefer to eat organic food. IMPOSSIBLE for me to have high cholesterol. My mom thinks i've been eating too much nasi lemak lately. but i dont eat them everyday!

ps. extra hard-core training for the next few weeks. : )

Finally, ucas has replied to all my offers. So now, I'm in a dilemma. Which one to choose? Should i feel happy or upset about the offer given by Imperial? The offer seems to be meaningless to me now......

Also, i got an offer from HKU + 50% scholarship and I already replied to them, that i will accept their offers. Paid the deposit too!!!

This week month didnt seem to be great. Last week, i sprained my ankle at gym, got back my 2nd term results, got an offer from Imperial but meaningless, didn't get through the 2nd round of GIC scholarship, unsuccesful application for Khazanah Scholarship........very UNPLEASANT.

This week's updates

1) 4/3/09 (jason mraz's concert)

It's the GIC first round interview. It was a great experience indeed. However it wasn't a good day for me because I caught a flu two days before and worst thing, I had a fever during the interview!!!! So my mind wasn't 100% focus on the interview.

I thought I did quite okay for the interview. Before the interview, something rather funny happened! Here's the story. Me and the other 4 interviewees were the last ones to get interview. Two went in, left me with the other two. While waiting for my turn, I was extremely, super, nervous. During that time, i needed to use the washroom urgently but afraid it would be my turn soon, so decided not to go. 20 min later, my name was called. Gosh, i was even nervous. I can't help it but i was jumping around with the INTERVIEWER BY MY SIDE while escorting me to the conference room. Of course, she was laughing at me and told me not to be nervous etc etc. After I entered the room, i told her i needed to use the washroom so badly, like really. Again, she was laughing again, telling me feel free to go and try to cool myself down. ( It was really embarrassing k, but at least i could make the interview laugh). Thank god she's nice and friendly, unlike other interviewers who are stern and fierce!.

As for the tests, I think i screwed up a little. I wasn't feeling well at all.

2) 6/7/09

Headed straight to MV/Gardens after college. Had Carls JR for lunch. I must say that the burgers are even bigger than my face!!! After lunch, wanted to catch a movie but in the end, we went shopping instead. Nigel left early, so left Ka Chuan and I. We were quite crazy actually. He was crazier! Went to the Robinsons' cosmetic department (chanel to be precise), and..........................he applied the mascara!! Unbelievable. Of course, I was laughing there. AND, I saw a white DKNY bag, so pretty. I don't know the price though ( Usual me la, shop without looking at the price tag).

At night, something surprising. I received an email from HKU (University of Hong Kong), stating i got a partial scholarship to study there. I was kinda happy and sad. Sad - . If i receive the offer, meaning, i will have to give up UK, no more Imperial or King's. Happy - I want to go HK ( Shopping and lots and lots of nice food) and with the scholarship - meaning pay less.
Also, i was told that i;m very lucky to be offered a place + scholarship because it is not easy to gain admission to HKU.

What should i do?? (*Contemplating) - Should i accept the offer? I'm only given until 31st march for me to make my decision. *sigh*

Slumdog Millionaire

After college, headed to MV to catch a movie: Slumdog Millionaire. It was a good show. Really good. I rate it 9.5/10. Where does the 0.5 go to??? Well, apparently, the Malaysia Censor Board(not sure what is it really called) censored few scenes!! The swearing part and the most lovely part which, is the kissing scene!! Opsie, I'm not supposed to reveal toooo much here. Go watch it yourself. Is definitely worth watching. It really deserved the 4 golden globes out of 10 nominations and 4 oscars.

After watching it, I finally understood why are there so many child beggars in India. Slumdog Millionaire has revealed many true stories of India: how the ppl live there?? why are there so many child beggars at certain streets? why is the gap between the rich and the poor is so huge? Like really huge, the rich ones can afford few bungalows, few to many luxurious cars etc etc etc whereas the poor ones are so poor that they can't even afford their basic necessity - food (what more about schooling and shelter). I'm not talking nonsense here, is true. I ha'd been to India twice and I've seen it!

Ok, back to college. Third sem started last week and so far, it has been ok. Not too stress yet. Wait till I start learning FP3, that is going to be my hard time in college. Hope I could survived through it.

China Trip - Part II

Day 2

Went to Nanshan - a 4 hrs trip from Haikao. It was a tiring trip. Nanshan is famous for its KuanYin Statue.

That's our trip to Nan Shan. Only 3 ppl went, mommy, aunty francis and i. The rest wasn't feeling very well, decided to stay in the hotel.

Reached Haikao near 7. Went straight for dinner. Didn't even return to the hotel to clean ourselves up.

We had out dinner at the same place we had our lunch on the first day. Again, food was great. As far as i can remember, the green vegetable with soya bean i think was the nicest, followed by the dessert - yam pastries ~ yummy~. Not forgetting about the delicious soup too!

After dinner, shopping time again! Went back to Jorya. But came out empty handed. Just to expensive and not worth it at all.

Pls ignore my messy hair. and Admire the beautiful dress.
Took 1/2 hr to decide whether to buy the dress or not. It cost MYR 1100. I thought it wasn't pratical at all.
Everyone claimed i looked beautiful and awesome in it.

China Trip - Part I

Just got back today from China. To be precise, I went to Haikao, Hainan, somewhere southern of China with 7 ppl including mommy and I. It was a nice trip and i really really enjoyed it. Great places, great weather, great food, great shopping places, everything was great basically.

One thing that I didn't like about China is the cleanliness and hygiene. OMG, it was terrible and horrible, ppl spit everywhere, the road, the restaurant, even the hotel lobby. And, the hotel is a 4 star hotel. It is supposed to be a high-class place where ppl don't spit anywhere as they like!!! Secondly, china men smoke a lot. Restaurant, car, and in the hotel too!! Is just so irritating. Ewwwwww........

Thirdly, the toilet. Two words, dirty and smelly. I didn't dare to enter the toilets. But during that time, I needed to use the toilet desperately, I had no choice but to endure the stinky smell and dirtiness. There were things far more worst than this. Some women don't lock the door when they pee!!!!!!!(My aunt told me that)

Day One

Pork rib - I didn't eat that okay. Everyone that ate it claimed it was good and yummy.
(BTW, those are leftovers. Originally, it was served together with the soup)
But still, is pork. You'll be wondering why is there a straw there? ......
Guess it yourself. Is definitely not something disgusting. I can assure you that.

Food at that restaurant was great even though I didn't like the ppl smoking in the restaurant.

After lunch, we went to some place and I can't mention about it here. Is something P & C. Sorry

Dinner time, we went to a seafood restaurant. GOSH, the food wasn't that good. Service was extremely terrible. The food served was totally COLD. I guess they left it on the table for 10 minutes before serving it to us. Not just one dish. I think five out 6 dishes were served COLD. We had to ask them to reheat the food again. Besides that, all the dishes took at least 20 minutes to be served and they served cold food. How to eat??? My aunt were quite pissed and went to counter to check it out. The reason why they took ages to serve the food is because they apply LIFO concept (last in first out). It was a total nonsense. One funny thing was that our pao was served after we have settled the bill. BUT, we already canceled the order. It was served right in front of us HOT. My another aunt quickly went to the tray next to us and took the container. We tapaoed the pao without the waitresses knowing. Haha. =)

Reached hotel about 8pm. Had plenty of time. Decided to do some shopping. Shopping there is really cheap if you can find nice places that sell pretty clothes.

Speaking about shopping, we stayed at that particular shop for a long time. Maybe 2 hrs?? The shop name was Jorya Weekend (Branded china brand). No play play with the clothes there okay. Clothes there are super freaking expensive. Minimum RMB 1500 = MYR 700. That's just for a TOP! But worth it. you pay the price for the workmanship and quality. I tried on quite a number of clothes. Coats that cost RMB 3000 to RMB 4000 (before discount) = MYR 2000++. At least i get to try on expensive coats and dresses, it makes me feel rich. Haha. The dresses were pretty too. Bought one totally awesome pretty purple dress. Price tag, I can't remember. Is just me. I dont look at prices when i shop. Close friends that know me well know about it.

Tadaaaaaaa..... exam is over!! The past two months had been stressful and i survived from it. Flying off the China in 11 hrs. So i wont be updating my blog for another week.

Exam so far was ok. I hope i did well for all except for fp1, which i think i did quite badly for it. But, you would never know until the results are out. So, just pray hard I can get all A's for this exam for my uni's' application.

Recap of everything:

1) Accounting - The paper was consider easy for a non-accounting background student like me.

2) Econs3 - Surprisingly, it was ok. Hope i did well.

3) S2 and M2 - hope to score high for these two papers

4) c3 - did some careless stupid mistakes!!!!! idiot me

5) c4 - did one careless mistake which i dont think it will affect my total marks.

6) Econs4 - yeah, it was on the first day of chinese new year. However, my exam mood was not affected by it and i was quite confident with it for the first time. BUT can't be over confident in case............

7) fp1- Had it today and i don't think i did very well. Just good. But still, i hope to score high for it.

Speaking about uni's, I've got 3 replies out of five and all of them are conditional offers. Which uni? I;m not going to mention it here until I have received all replies regardless a rejection or a conditional offer.

There are lots and lots and lots of movies i want to watch after my trip.

Also, not to forget about my Heroes season 3 which i've not been watching it since episode 3. Yes, i know i'm outdated but is not my fault. Blame it on exams. And 90210 too!!!

Happy Chinese New Year to all too. Is nvr too late to wish. Haha. Alright, i need to rest now, my flight is 7am tomorrow, have to reach lcct by 5, meaning, i need to wake up at 3am++ in the morning to get myself ready. And the worst thing is, i have not packed yet. So yeah, ciao ppl.

Omgosh, i accidentally deleted my previous post. I have to rewrite it.

Watched Twilight on Friday and I quite liked it. I rate it 7.5/10. The movie's storyline was a little different from the book. Well, You can't expect a film adaptation to be exactly the same as the book.

Comments/facts:::::::::::
1) The overall soundtrack was good. I love the song Iron and Wine during the prom scene, 15 steps by radiohead and of course Super Massive Blackhole by Muse.

2) There was no red M3 or Aston Martin appeared as what it was written in the book. =(

3) The Bella and Edward kissing scene was censored and I missed that part because of my contacts were causing my eyes to irritate during that scene (what a bad timing) !!!! Damn it.

4) Stephenie Meyer appeared in the movie - just cameo (at the diner).

5) Cam Gigandet (james) looked hot in the movie. =)

6) In my opinion, the make-up artists applied too much make-up on the Cullens especially the lips. They would look more gorgeous if their lips were not so pink.

7) I find the baseball scene was quite cool. With the thunder + sound effects. Excellent

This was my favorite scene. It's so romantic.

Apparently, Summit Entertainment has given the green light to start filming New Moon. I hope they could produce a even better movie.

Wednesday:-
Of all sudden, I decided to do some shopping with Mom. Headed straight to OU after college. It was a wrong time to do shopping because i was feeling tired and lethargic after having back-to-back classes (from 8-4). For the first time, I actually felt sleepy while trying on clothes.

Supposed to buy a dress/formal top but i ended buying a sandals from ELLE.

Celebrated Yeetheng's, nigel's, meichyi's, munyou's and alya's birthday at Paddington, The Curve. Chrys, Wanli and I organized the whole surprise party. From booking the restaurant to arranging the transports. It is not an easy task at all, especially it is a SURPRISE party. We had to make sure no one leaks any information to the birthday babies. So yeah, we made it : Thank you CHRYSTAL & WANLI. The surprise was that Sam Lock turned up and presented the cupcakes to the November babies. Everyone else was quite surprised too because none of them expected him to come. Again, thanks to chyrs and wanli for helping in organizing it. =)

Watched Quantum of Solace on Thursday. I rate it 5.5/10. I find the movie quite draggy and has not much story line. BUT the overall sound effect and the chase scenes were good. I love the grey Aston Martin in the movie. Is sexy and elegant. That is going to be one of my future cars as well.

Yesterday was Performance and Awards Nite '08. It was well choreographed and everything went on smoothly. I enjoyed the performances the entire night. *Good job Mr. Zac as well as all the teachers and students involved!!!*

I received a limited edition Monopoly set from Singapore Tourism Board. This is because I signed up for a contest to win tickets to catch Rihanna's concert in Singapore. But i didnt manage to win any tickets, instead , i won the monopoly set.

Approximately 2 months to go before the January09 paper. It makes me so nervous about it because I've not started studying ANYTHING.

Anyway, I've completed my UCAS application and submitted it. Now, just hope and pray that I will be accepted to all the uni's I applied.

I really need the motivation to start my revision. I can't afford to obtain bad grades in my exam!!!!
FP is getting tougher but exciting. Maths is going to be my new best friend and i love it.

Shopping Day - Part 2

What a tiring day today. I've been shopping since morning till night.

Went to the MPH warehouse sales in the morning and I stayed there for quite a long time. It was stuffy, hot, no air-cond, sunny(certain area has no shades) and I didn't like the crowd at all. BUT, I bought a lot of books. One basket full of books. Total was RM 464. Originally, it was RM 444. Mom thought that 444 was an inauspicious number so I decided to take another book to make the total 464. The books sold were really CHEAP and definitely worth buying!!

Went to OU shopping again in the afternoon and spent a lot. I didn't manage to get any white heels and I really need it in two weeks time for P&A nite. Well, I saw one pretty white heels with crystals beads from LEWRE and I quite like it. But it costs 200++. I'm going to try persuade my mom to buy it for me IF I can't get any nice and suitable ones by next week.

Got a call yesterday night from Khye-Ren, asking me if i will be free today. Why? Because she needs me to do some shopping with her.

Went to OU and spent 6 hrs there just to get her a nice perfect dress and a pair of shoes for her.

We went to almost every shoe shops that are available at OU. Nine West, Aldo, Lewre, Clarks, etc etc. I must say that the shoes from Aldo are so pretty. I particularly like one, Victoria Style, purple. and it costs........................RM300++

It looks like this but is purple in colour.

Tomorrow i'm going shopping again but going with mom. I need to get lots of things. White heels for P&A nite (main priority), sandals, skirts, blouse etc.

My weekend starts tomorrow. I have three days to complete all my unfinished homework. Maths is getting so stressful now. After every FP math class, I feel so tired and my mind can't work properly. There was once after Math class, I saw Adrian Tan but I called him Brian. That is the effect of too much Mathematics. Oh well, I got to love Maths because I'm going to study a degree in Mathematics in university.

About my personal statement, I'm halfway done. I just need to edit some points.

Yes!!!!!! The movie Twilight is going to be shown in Malaysia on the 27th November 2008, approximately one and a half month from now. I'm looking forward to watch it. One word to describe my feeling at the moment : ecstatic.

Had lunch at Cinnamon Coffeehouse@One World Hotel. The food served wasn't that bad but the variety was limited. I rate it 6/10 overall.

The interior design

Starter - salad

Sushi, sashimi, mussels (sadly, no oysters were served), etc

Finished Indian food (The chicken satay was good)

Pasta and cream asparagus chowder

Dessert - Ice Cream + chocolate marshmallow + cake
(the indulgence & temptation))

Dessert again : Chocolate marshmallow, pudding ........yummy yummy, delicious

Is good to read but no too much! I started reading Twilight last Thursday and now, I'm already on the third book (eclipse). Yes, I'm addicted to the Twilight Series. I can't wait for the movie to be released.

I bought them last week (New Moon and Eclipse)

Since then, I just couldn't stop putting my hands off the books. And because of that, I did not study for my M2 test (i screwed up the paper and regretted for not studying it!!!!), I did not complete my homeworks. Also, my unfinished personal statement! It is due in the two weeks time before submitting it to MABECS for checking. The last time I touched my personal statement was a month ago! A month ago! Can you imagine that. I hate myself for being a procrastinator. I MUST start continue writing my personal statement!

Last Sunday, I went shopping with my mom. Finally, I got my Birthday present from my sister after so long......I guess I was just being meticulous about it. I want my birthday present to be something special, extraordinary. Alas, a purse from DKNY.

Lately, I've been procrastinating. My mountainous piles of homeworks, personal statement, etc... The list just goes on and on and on. I wish I could have some sort magic power to make my hw do itself. I need motivation!!!!!!

So updates now!
Monday - As usual, class started at 8 and ended at 5. I liked Further Maths class because Mr Sam was screening the movie 21 to the class. Even though I've watched it a lot of times, but I liked it just because of one reason : Jim Sturgess looked hot and cute and adorable and sexy in that movie.

Tuesday - As usual again, (hectic timetable)

Wednesday - It was my worst day of all! I had my C4 mocks and I must say that I kind of screwed up the paper. I was swearing a lot at the end of the paper. (Those who were around me should had heard it) - I'm sorry =(

Thursday - Something unusual happened to my mom. I called her after my Econs class was dismissed. She was supposed to pick me up but when I heard her voice through the phone, she sounded so ill. She looked perfectly fine and healthy in the morning. She told me she vomited so badly. When I went to her office, she was totally pale and weak, it just wasn't her at all.

So yeah, after she recovered and told me what happened. Well, on Wednesday, she and her friend went to look for a new house near my housing area. The house was in a serious bad condition, dilapidated. Like a haunted house. Ewwwwww. After leaving the house, she didn't feel very well and started feeling dizzy. Her friend called a tabib( master of feng shui and everything) to come over to check on her. Soon later, she vomited and felt better actually.

The master told them that the house they went to was actually haunted (i mean it). The spirit(s) were trying to give a warning to my mom and her friend not to buy the house and disturb their souls. My mom's friend didn't have any dizziness or vomiting condition like my mom. She just had nightmares the previous night. I know it sounds like I'm lying here, but it's true. It's alright if you guys don't want to believe it.

At night, started reading Twilight and I finished it today. Yay. Gosh, it was really really good. I love it. I will rate it 5 stars. Edward Cullen was described like the perfect guy I ever wanted in my life. Good looking, sweet personalities, rich, smart, etc..... Can't wait to buy the remaining books. Also, I can't wait for the movie to be released too!!!!!!Anticipated. The Twilight saga is going to be my next favorite books after If You Could See Me Now and Pride and Prejudice.
